For the June 28th general meeting program, MCBA members Chet and Michelle Juck, will present “Our Successful Varroa Management.” Learn about their proactive mite management regimen that in only 5 years of beekeeping has helped them overwinter 61 of 65 colonies. They both are involved with the bee management and credit their success on investing the time into caring for their bees and maintaining a consistent mite management program for both monitoring and treating. Learn from their example because developing a varroa management and treatment plan in early summer is very important. If you wait until August it may be too late.
Also, Mark Antunes will discuss his research and data on package bee mite loads.
