It is the goal of MCBAPA to educate beekeepers on all of the different aspects of the beekeeping world. We offer a New Beekeepers class for beginners as well as a 2nd Year Course for more advanced instruction.

New Beekeepers

Enrollment in the New Beekeepers class includes the following:

  • Current Year Membership in MCBAPA
  • Eight (8) Classes with Hands-On Apiary Experience
  • Educational Materials
  • Current Year Membership (Individual or Household) in Pennsylvania State Beekeepers Association
  • One (Individual) or Two (Couple) tickets to the MCBAPA Fall Banquet

In addition, your MCBAPA membership also entitles you to participation in club activities, information on advanced beekeeping topics and our quarterly club newsletter.

PSBA Membership provides you with 10 annual state newsletters and information sharing. In addition, your dues will contribute to state activities that promote bee research and encourage education at the local levels to promote rather than restrict beekeeping.

2nd Year Course

Enrollment in the 2nd Year Course includes four (4) classes addressing students’ own apiaries with the goal of answering the many questions that are often asked regarding the handling of the colony that has now been established. It is recommended for beekeepers in their second year or greater as well as others who have interest in continued fellowship and inquiry.
